Golden Apple Teacher Awards

Thanks to the Donahue Family Foundation’s generosity, the Golden Apple Awards program was created to honor exceptional individuals dedicated to teaching in Catholic schools. The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Washington acknowledges and values the unique challenges these teachers face in nurturing students’ holistic development.

Our Catholic school educators hold dual certifications, both state and catechist, ensuring the infusion of Gospel values across all subjects. They play a crucial role in guiding students toward fulfilling their intellectual and spiritual potential.

In recognition of their invaluable contributions to the Church and society, the Archdiocese proudly presents the Golden Apple Awards. Honorees receive a golden apple keepsake, a $5,000 monetary award, and a Certificate of Achievement.
