Timeline and Deadlines for Applications:

  • High School Application Deadline: January 29, 2027
  • High School Award Notifications Sent: February 18, 2027
  • Elementary School Application Deadline: February 26, 2027
  • Elementary School Award Notifications Sent: March 12, 2027

Please note that the Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program is now using a new service provider, FACTS. To apply, click the link above and search for the specific school under the institution search bar. For those applying to more than one school, you can do so on the same form—only one application is needed.

The Archdiocesan Tuition Assistance Program is available for students in grades PreK-12 who are applying to or currently enrolled in Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Washington. All tuition assistance obtained through the Archdiocese is based on demonstrated financial need. Financial need must be demonstrated each year to qualify. Families apply each year to receive tuition assistance. Applying for tuition assistance has no bearing on whether a student is admitted to a school.

Applications are available each year beginning in October and are due by deadlines announced for tuition assistance for the following school year. FACTS manages the process on behalf of the Archdiocese of Washington Catholic schools. Please note that you only need to complete one form for all children in a family, whether elementary school students or high school students, even if seeking tuition assistance for children attending different schools.

Before Starting the Tuition Assistance Application 

  • Social Security Numbers: Have the children’s and applicant’s Social Security Numbers available. 
  • 2025 Tax Returns: Have a PDF of your 2025 Tax Return. Submit all documents.  If the applicant(s) is/are self-employed or has there are rental properties, additional forms and schedules will be necessary.  Include all documents in your upload.  
  • 2025 W-2: The tax year 2025 tax returns and W-2 that are needed. 
  • Monthly and Annual Expenses: Amounts for rent/mortgage(s), credit card, loan balances, alimony, child support, health insurance premiums, vehicle insurance, annual out-of-pocket medical expenses, charitable contributions, college expenses, child or elder care expenses.  

When Starting the Application 

  1. Make sure that ADW Tuition Assistance is checked. The question is located at the beginning of the form.  
  2. Applicants may be eligible for the IRS integration option.  With this option, uploading tax documents is not necessary.  FACTS Financial will get your tax information from the IRS.  
  3. No Taxes Filed: If a family did not file a tax return, in the Taxable Income section, there is a question: “Does the Applicant File a US Federal Income Tax Return?”   Reply No. 
  4. Following that is another question: “Does the Co-Applicant File a US Federal Income Tax Return?”

Depending on the information provided in the tax return, additional documentation may be required. If so, the application status will change to Incomplete until the required information is submitted. 
Completed/Verified  All information has been received.  No further action is needed
