Our Lady, Star of the Sea School
Established in 1933, Our Lady Star of the Sea is a member of the Archdiocese of Washington and is a fully accredited, private, Catholic, co-educational school serving grades Pre-K through 8. OLSS mission is to build a community that reflects Gospel values while developing the unique potential of each student through an integrated academic curriculum and a focus on faith and service to society.
In addition to traditional subjects such as reading, spelling, vocabulary, and social studies, our STREAM program integrates science, technology, religion, engineering, art, and math to provide students with a comprehensive academic foundation. iPads are incorporated as instructional tools to support learning across the curriculum.
Students also participate in Foreign Language, Physical Education, and Music. Before Care and Aftercare are available for families. A variety of extracurricular activities are also offered, including cross country, volleyball, basketball, Symphonic Orchestra, after-school clubs, and more.
