San Miguel School
Founded by the Brothers of the Christian Schools and St. John’s College Highschool, San Miguel School is an independent Catholic middle school dedicated to transforming the lives of the students we educate. San Miguel provides life-changing opportunities to academically under-served and economically disadvantaged Latino boys in the District of Columbia and surrounding area. We educate 91 students nearly tuition-free in grades six through eight and provide graduate support to 293 alumni to ensure their continued success. Our goal is to help students thrive in a rigorous educational environment that offers opportunities for spiritual, intellectual and physical growth. With an extended school year and school day, data-driven and personalized instruction, on-site counseling, small classes and a talented faculty, we strive to close the achievement gap and put our students on a path to success. With our graduate support program in place, 100 percent of our students continue their studies at college-preparatory high schools and graduate, and the majority go on to college.
San Miguel School is an independent Lasallian middle school serving at-risk and disadvantaged Latino children by providing a rigorous academic curriculum, caring community, and character building program in support of advancing their dreams of success in high school, college, and beyond.
