Frequently Asked Questions

Completing an Application:

Q: Do I need to do anything after I submit my application?
A: After your application is submitted, you will need to upload financial documentation. This may include 2022 federal tax forms or other financial documentation as pertains to your circumstances, W2s, most recent pay stubs, and documentation about stated debt.

Q: Do I need to complete an application for each child?
A: No, unless the other child’s school is not a participating school.

Q: How will I know if my application is complete?
A: TADS will contact you by email if you are missing any documents. You can also email their customer support to verify your application is complete.

Q: How will TADS contact me?
A:They will use the email address that is connected to your TADS account. Check your spam folder to make sure you don’t miss any communications.

Q: Is there a maximum income amount?
A: There is no maximum income amount for ADW Tuition Assistance. We encourage all families to apply and understand that every family has a unique financial situation.

Q: How much can I possibly be awarded?
A: Potential award amounts are as follows:

  • K-8 Schools: $1,500 or less
  • Independent High Schools: $500
  • Archbishop Carroll High School: $2,400 or less
  • Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School: Contact their Admissions Department for more information.
  • Consortium of Catholic Academies (CCA): Contact your individual school for more information.

After Completing an Application:

Q: Why haven’t I received a decision on my application / why does it say pending / what is the status of my application?
A:

  1. Applications received after the February deadline will not be considered for ADW aid.
  2. If you applied before the deadline but did not submit your documents on time your application will not be considered for ADW aid.
  3. If you applied after the deadline, contact your school directly.

Q: Can I switch my award from one school to another?
A: Elementary Schools (K-8): Yes, between schools in the same category (CCA, K-8, Independent High Schools). Some independent schools may not be eligible for ADW aid. If you request to transfer aid to a school that does not qualify you will be notified.

High Schools: Aid cannot be transferred to or from Archbishop Carroll High School or Don Bosco Cristo Rey High School. For other independent schools, you will be notified if the school does not participate in our tuition assistance program.

Q: My award has not been added to my tuition billing account.
A: Unfortunately, we are unable to re-review applications and decisions.

Q: We have decided not to enroll in an ADW school and would like to decline our award.

Q: Do I have to do anything to accept my award?
A: No, but if you decide not to accept the award, please notify us by using the form above.
